Name: Flamenca/Flamenco
Date: July 31, 2014
Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM EDT
Event Description:
The director of Flamenco Aparicio Dance Company, Edwin Aparicio, brings to the Freeman Stage the fire and grace that made the art of Flamenco one of the most mystifying and ancient celebrations of emotion and music in modern history.  In this new work, Aparicio continues to explore gender themes in Flamenco by interpreting the duality and complexity of the genre through firey footwork and grace. This engagement of Flamenca/Flamenco is made possible through funding by the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation, and the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency dedicated to nurturing and supporting the arts in Delaware.
