The tour is a fundraiser for the Lower Shore Land Trust which highlights beautiful gardens in a particular county each year. Attendees purchase tickets which provide them a map to visit various private gardens, talk with garden owners, share tips and get inspired! A plein air artist at each location sets up a canvas and creates artwork unique to each host's garden environment (which is gifted to the garden host!). It’s a beautiful way to spend a summer day, for attendees and garden hosts alike, meeting new people and sharing common interests in native gardening and pollinator habitat.
