Early fall is the best time for boating…less boats on the water leads to a more tranquil and relaxing experience. It is also one of the best times to take the safe boating course and build on your boating knowledge. The new requirement to use an engine cut-off switch, “kill switch” when operating a boat under 26 feet went into effect this year. Learn more by taking the Maryland Safe Boating Course.
The Maryland Boating Safety Education Act requires that anyone born after July 1, 1972 must possess a Maryland Basic Boating Safety Certificate to operate a boat in the state of Maryland.  Those attending the class, and passing the test will receive a Maryland Boating Certificate which is NASBLA approved and valid in all states.
A fee of $20.00 covers the cost of the course and materials.
