Beach Tennis Maryland is growing one of the world’s fastest-growing sports across Maryland’s Eastern Shore by making beach tennis fun, social, inclusive and accessible to players of all ages and skill levels.

Combining elements of tennis, badminton and beach volleyball, beach tennis is easy to learn, exciting to play and a great way to stay active outdoors. No previous racquet-sport experience is required.

Beach Tennis Maryland offers lessons and clinics, weekly open play, social sessions, round-robin matches, organized leagues, tournaments and special events. Players can participate casually, build their skills or compete at a higher level in a welcoming community environment. Beginners may come solo or with a partner, and equipment guidance and court setup support are also available.

Permanent and seasonal courts are available throughout Maryland’s Eastern Shore, including Ocean City, Chestertown, Galena and Betterton Beach. Beach Tennis Maryland also hosts major competitive events that bring local, national and international players to Ocean City.

Led by professional beach tennis player Thomas MacLeod, Beach Tennis Maryland is building more than a sport—it is creating friendships, promoting wellness and bringing people together through fun and competition on the sand.
