Nonprofits Count:  The Social and Economic Impact of Nonprofits in Maryland, DC and Virginia

Join the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce, Maryland Nonprofits and the Governor’s Office on Service and Volunteerism for a breakfast, networking and opportunity to hear about new research on the nonprofit sector regionally, and on the Eastern Shore.  Nonprofits employ more than 10% of the region’s workforce, and are an integral part of our economy.  Heather Iliff, CEO of Maryland Nonprofits Sawida Kamara, author of the report, will share insights on nonprofits in the wider region and locally in Worcester, Wicomico and Somerset counties.  Jeffrey Griffin of the Governor’s Office on Service and Volunteerism will share information on the Governor’s initiatives that strengthen volunteerism in Maryland.
