Date: February 21, 2026
Time: 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM EST
Event Description:

Waterfowl & Winter Birding Experience

Join ACT for a winter birding adventure at the breathtaking Newport Farms and experience the Eastern Shore at its finest!

On Saturday, February 21 (rain/snow date: Saturday, February 28), we’ll explore ponds and fields alive with geese, ducks, swans, and a variety of additional bird species that call this special landscape home.

This guided bird walk will be led by Taylor Swanson, Executive Director & Assateague Coastkeeper, an avid bird expert with a passion for sharing knowledge. Taylor will share insights on bird behavior, habitats, and the vital role birds play in supporting a healthy ecosystem and clean water.

Scopes provided for close-up viewing. Dress warmly and bring your binoculars if you have them. If birdwatching isn’t in your repertoire yet—it will be after this!

Tickets are $30 per person and registration is required.

Gather your friends for a bundled-up good time and bring in the birds at this magical winter excursion!
